PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) is a process-based methodology for effective project management, from the same stable as ITIL®. It is used extensively by the UK Government, and is also widely recognized and used in the UK and international private sector.
The PRINCE2 method is in the public domain, and offers non-proprietorial best practice guidance on project management. At the Foundation level the student is introduced to the basics of the PRINCE2 method, helping them to act as an informed member of the project team, while at the Practitioner level the student learns to apply this method to the ongoing management of such projects.
